Independent Sales Organizations
There are a variety of types of Independent Sales Organizations — agents, retail and wholesale — depending on the liabilities the ISO carries in its relationship with to the sponsor.
If you have been successful selling merchant accounts and want to take on greater obligations in order to generate more revenue, you may need to consider a different model. Perhaps you have been effective as a Retail ISO and want more control over underwriting applications. Perhaps you want faster onboarding or greater control over the settlement of funds. If this is the case, you should consider transforming your business into a Wholesale ISO or taking the additional leap to become a payment facilitator.
